THE MOMENTUM FROM CARTAGENA TO REACH SEVILLA

We arrived at the Cartagena de Indias Summit with a great deal of work done and, Cartagena, has allowed us to gain some momentum. With the support of President Berkia, in his capacity as Vice-president of ORU-Fogar, with the secretariat well established in Barcelona, with new members joining our dynamics, we are heading towards a much stronger and more influential organisation.

This relaunched ORU-FOGAR must have powerful communication and information mechanisms drawing on all technological capacities at our disposal. Never before have we had so many resources to work at a global level. Today, we present this new newsletter, linked to a new website, which surpasses the old one that was outdated, and which we will gradually build.

More communication, more technology and a more permanent contact. This does not mean, however, that we should stop seeing each other in person in our bureaus, assemblies and summits. I’m one of those people who believe that in order to sort out a lot of things, people need to see one another, to look at one another in the eyes and feel the imperative mutual commitment for an organization of this kind.

That is the reason why, in this newsletter, we announce our 2015 assembly in Seville, Andalusia. This way, this technological media connect the strength that comes from Cartagena with the one we’ll gain in Seville.
