The good practice consists allowing to producers an access to different benefits based on their voluntary selection of the practices relevant to their production, in order to improve their productivity and achieve greater efficiency towards sustainable development.
The project was designed to engage a wide range of stakeholders, including the OECD, universities, other research institutions, and municipalities, in the regional achievement of UN SDGs, particularly SDGs 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 15, and 17.
The primary goal is to increase agricultural production in a pioneering region of sustainable development in South America that is threatened by soil depletion. A survey among involved producers has already confirmed that these practises have increased their level of production in this regard.
Another study is currently underway to determine whether this initiative can be implemented at the national level
