Practice submitted to ORU Fogar’s VIII Regional Best Practice Award by Manabí (Ecuador), with input record number 11.
The good practice "Strengthening women's support networks for the comprehensive initial care of women victims of violence and prevention of gender violence in 14 rural communities" of the Province of Manabí seeks a comprehensive transformation of the situation of violence suffered by women.
The proposal provides tools for the subject-woman to be the one who develops and transforms situations of violence. Our social base is the Santa Marta Women's Association and it will be executed with it. The Santa Marta Provincial Women's Association is present in the 22 cantons with a network of more than 120 local women's organizations linked, who have been developing processes of dignity and social inclusion for 35 years, proving with this the sustainability of the processes of social transformation from organized women.
