Punto Colibrí

One of the prizes of the Good Practices Bank is directed towards the project Punto Colibrí, as it offers quality health services for LGTB+ people in the province of Pichincha. This project has been able to overcome the cultural, structural and symbolic obstacles that make public health access difficult for these communities. To achieve this goal, the government of Pichincha has implemented specialised medical services such as inclusive medicine or affirmative psychology, but it has also strengthened human talent in medicine though training in sex-gender diversity, human rights and an intersectional approach. This project not only promotes health services, but it also builds a fair and inclusive social system that fights against the isolation of communities. Moreover, this project’s design allows for a high adaptability in other territories, making it extremely replicable
