Pichincha is health. Free health fairs in the province of Pichincha

This program seeks to bring free health services to rural and marginalised populations throughout the province of Pichincha. The origins of this approximation plan can be found on the Covid-19 Pandemic, a tragedy that in addition of taking dozens of lives, moved people away from health centres due to contact fear. Aiming to overcome this, provincial authorities launched the operation for the first time in 2020. In five years, this project has grown significantly, reaching 232 fairs in the past year. During this period, more than 176,000 medical consultations have been treated, making this project a true success.
