The MICPI is the main cultural promotion public policy of the Prefecture of Pichincha, designed to connect local artistic supply with national and international buyers and programmers. Structured around four sectors — music, film, dance, and performing arts — and three activity strands — Live, Encounters, and Knowledge — the market attracted over 6,500 participants, 270 programmers from 22 countries, generated 27 internationalisation processes, and created at least 227 direct jobs across its 2024 and 2025 editions. Its model, adaptable to diverse territorial realities, combines training, commercialisation, and collaborative networks to place culture at the service of regional economic development.
