The Itinerant Caravans for Social Justice are an innovative public policy of the Legal Counsel of the State of Mexico that brings legal services to the most remote communities through mobile units equipped with satellite technology. The programme coordinates over 31 government agencies at three levels of government and offers more than 125 procedures and services — mostly free of charge — across all 125 municipalities of the state. In 2025, it benefited over 200,000 people, delivering 586,730 services and generating an estimated saving of 153 million pesos for citizens. Its focus on human rights, social inclusion, and gender perspective makes it a replicable national and international reference for ensuring effective access to justice.
