President Sebastián Piñera announced this morning that Chile is not in a position to organize COP25. Indeed, the Chilean president fears that this summit is not compromised by the major citizen mobilizations and altercations that are currently disrupting the country. As you know, ORU Fogar had planned to hold its annual meeting on December 1, on the sidelines of COP25. Following the decision to suspend COP 25, we consulted our local partners, ANCORE, as to the continuation of our meeting. The president of ANCORE, Marcelo Carrasco, reiterated his availability to continue the organization of the assembly in Santiago. He believes that now, more than ever, "decentralized models can be an alternative to the current situation in Chile". With this determination and following the consultation with President Sekkal, we are holding our meeting on December 1 in Santiago de Chile.
