The ORU Fogar Annual Assembly held on November 23, 2021, by videoconference with the support of ZICOSUR, elected Rachid El Abdi as the new President of the Organization. Rachid El Abdi, member of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), was elected on September 18, 2021, president of the Moroccan Council of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Region. He succeeded his predecessor Abdessamad SEKKAL, who did not run for election.
Cooperation between regions and territorial integration
The seminar "Regions and Territorial Integration" was carried out during the XV General Assembly of ORU Fogar, with the support of the Zona de Integración Centro Oeste de América del Sur - Central West Integration Zone of South America (ZICOSUR).
The Best Practice Awards discuss essential issues on the global agenda
The VI Regional Good Practices Awards, scheduled by UNDP and ORU Fogar -awarded on December 2- highlighted the labour of 5 regional governments in issues that, nowadays, are fundamental in the development agenda and that, in addition, continue some lines of work very marked in the dynamics of ORU Fogar.

The coronavirus continues to influence the pace of individuals, companies and governments, keeping us inevitably connected, and also promoting us to rethink logistics, free trade and globalization. In this new normal, it is necessary to value the establishment of shorter and more flexible supply chains, and the creation of commercial flows that do not depend on destinations that are too far away. Globalization has shown its weakness and economic interdependence, even affecting the public health. However, it is possible to combat its negative effects and the inequalities created. We have reached the point of no return, witnessing the globalization of data, education, knowledge, talent and ideas.
