The IX Edition of the Regional Good Practices Award has been announced
Annually, for the past nine years, ORU Fogar and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have unveiled the Regional Good Practices Award. This award is open to all intermediate governments worldwide—whether regions, provinces, prefectures, or federated states—regardless of their affiliation with ORU Fogar. To identify the five projects deserving recognition, a distinguished jury comprising development experts, academia-affiliated individuals, and those with extensive experience in the global agenda is convened.

We make our voice heard in the global debate on refugees and immigration
At the Palexpo in Geneva (Switzerland) the voice of ORU Fogar was heard both on December 14 during the “Global Forum on Refugees” and on January 24 and 25 at the “World Forum on Immigration and Development”.

“Training values” from Manabí (Ecuador) receives 1000 Barça shirts
Through ORU Fogar, the “Training values” project, which in 2022 received one of the Regional Good Practices Awards organized by UNDP and ORU Fogar, has received a donation of 1,000 Barça t-shirts from the Foundation F.C of Barcelona.

Extremadura is a region that knows the historical and future challenges that arise in eminently rural territories. With more than 67% of our population residing in rural areas, extremadurans know first-hand the social, economic, political, administrative and environmental keys that have helped our region to experience a development process with rural development policies that cover agricultural production and sustainability, the attention to the demographic challenge or the support for the generation of infrastructure.
