SCF green fund supports a project in Senegal
The Subnational Climat Fund, the green fund that continues the work initiated several years ago by R-20 and former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, has approved support for the «Walorise» Transformation et Valorisation du Typha» project in the Department of Dagana, Senegal. Thus, the fund will initially provide financial support to carry out the technical work of a project that aims to restore and preserve the biodiversity of the Senegal River Valley, paving the way for regenerative agriculture and providing sustainable energy by converting Typha australis (an invasive plant) into bioenergy.

2024 MedCat Days
Regions call for Mediterranean policies at MedCat Days
The 5th edition of MedCat Days, held in Barcelona from June 25 to 28, was a clamor in favor of Mediterranean policies. The event, which cannot be ignored as it was held just after the European elections that saw a tremendous rise of the extreme right, claimed the validity of what was the Barcelona Process, just one year before the 30th anniversary of that project that envisaged an intense and sustained Euro-Mediterranean cooperation over time.

TAIEX in the Argentine province of Tucumán
TAIEX technical exchange strengthens wine industry in the Argentine province of Tucumán.
Promoted by ORU Fogar, from June 24 to 28, a TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission) technical exchange was carried out, for which four Catalan and one Italian expert traveled to the wine-growing areas of the Argentinean Province of Tucumán.

Latin America faces a series of challenges to advance as a region in providing higher levels of well-being to its citizens and achieving better levels of development. Some of these challenges refer to increasing the productivity levels of its productive apparatus, advancing in the participation of global trade networks of products with high added value, achieving greater formality in its labor market in order to have better income levels for its population, and reducing poverty rates, among others.
