The Markets Friends of Children and Adolescents (M.A.N.A) program executed from the Santa Cruz Governorate in partnership with UNICEF, aims to prevent and / or eradicate child labour in supply centres (popular markets). It involves the participation of the union sectors that transfer the physical space and furniture necessary for the operation of the “protection space” inside the market, where girls and boys and adolescents have the opportunity to perform their school work, Participate in psycho-affective, recreational, training and other activities.

As a result of the pilot program, multiple achievements have already been achieved such as: the prevention of child labor, a trade community committed and empowered with children and adolescents, families with greater responsibility and participation in the integral development of the NNAS, among others.
