Biosphere Responsible Tourism
The biosphere is a certificate of the Responsible Tourism Institute which certifies that the tourism project of a territory is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as with the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism +20 and the guidelines of the Paris Agreements. It is regulated by four memos adopted in 2017 during the International Year of Sustainable Tourism in conferences organized by the United Nations, through the UNESCO and the World Tourism Organization.
ORU Fogar and the Responsible Tourism Institute, an independent organization whose objective is to implement sustainable development programs in the tourism industry, signed an agreement that provide the regions access to Biosphere certificates. This certificate certifies that a region is a tourism destination of quality and strengthen the determination to tackle the development challenge.
